Co-operative employees’ commission is a Quasi Judicial institution which is formed under the subjects of the 3rd list of 13th government constitutional amendment. |
 |
Also it is an institution which should be implemented according to the rules and regulations of the co-operative employees commission act. |
 |
The continuous existence of all co-operative societies of the province and taking administrative decisions regarding human resources management of those societies are maintained. |

Basic Role of Co-operative employees commission |

When co-operative societies take in justice disciplinary action on co-operative servants and unfair actions on institutional activities Co-operative employees commission takes following actions,
- Examine disciplinary appeals which are presented under 135th regulation.
- Examine the appeals of the servants, regrets and complaints under 137th regulation.
- Appearance at courts on behalf of the privileges of servants.
- Appearance at the court for implementing co-operative employees’ commission orders and decisions.
It also takes current decisions for creating background which is needed for human resources management of co-operative societies according to the rules and regulation.
According to that the actions are as follows,
- Issuing the circulars according to the regulation.
- Issuing the instruction letters and instruction circulars.
- Arranging procedures on salary scales and allowances.
- Arranging procedures on recruiting and promotions of servants.
- Regulating disciplinary procedure.
- Regulating approved carders of Sabaragamuwa provincial Council.
