Our ministry is situated in the 01st floor of Sabaragamuwa Provincial Council Complex and it consist 36 employees.
Hon. Bhanu Munipriya is the minister of Health, Indigenous Medicine & Women Affairs in Sabaragamuwa. The sectors monitored by this ministry can be
divided into 03 main sections such as, Western Health, Indigenous Medicine and Women Affairs. Our objectives are to facilitate the people in
Sabaragamuwa (nearly 2,000,000 in amount) with basic medical facilities which may provide them a physically and mentally healthy life and to strengthen
the women in Sabaragamuwa by using the financial funds effectively under the supervision and guidance of the minister. |

Main Functions of the ministry |

|
Facilitating medical services to provide medical facilities equally to every person in the province by managing human
resources in the ministry as well as in our departments is one of our main functions. In implementing this we use both preventive care and
curative care services of both western health and indigenous medicine sectors. Also empowering women in the province by introducing new earning
ways to poor and helpless women and improving their existing ways is another main function of our ministry. |
