Roads Development
In Sabaragamuwa Province there are 1148.12 km of “C” grade roads and 937.42 km of “D” grade roads. These roads belong to 08 Executive Engineering divisions as bellows.

Sabaragamuwa Province is full of various types of tourist attractions. The tourist product development has to be diversified into various segments such as,

- Culture Tourism
- Sports Tourism
- Heritage Tourism
- Eco-Tourism
- Community-based Tourism
At present Sabaragamuwa Provincial Tourism Ministry has prepared a five year Tourism Development plan. It includes six zones. They are,
- Kuruwita, Ratnapura Tourist Zone.
- Kolonna, Embilipitiya Tourist Zone.
- Kalawana Ayagama Tourist Zone.
- Balangoda, Imbulpe, Weligepola Tourist Zone.
- Rambukkana, Mawanella, Aranayaka Tourist Zone.
- Dehiowita, Yatiyantota, Deraniyagala, Galigamuwa Tourist Zone.
Rural Infrastructure
This includes the development of following features in rural and suburb areas
- Rural Road development
- Enhancement of rural Health facilities.
- Enhancement of rural community facilities.
- Enhancement of drinking water facilities.
- Fulfillment the needs of energy.
It is hard to develop infrastructures in rural area as against urban areas. But it helps to develop rural areas gradually under this subject. |
